I'm super excited to bring this episode of The Mindful Kind to you! I've been bursting to share one of my favourite mindfulness resources with you and how I use it (and how you can, too!).

Introducing a very special book, called Calm. Written by Michael Acton Smith, this book is a beautiful representation of mindfulness and a really useful tool in my mindfulness practice.

In this episode, I've chatted about my favourite activity from Calm and how just reading it is a mindfulness practice in itself!

I've got a very exciting surprise towards the end of the episode, so be sure to hang around!

Episode 3 of The Mindful Kind is all about mindful eating- what it is, how to do it and why it's important!

I've also shared three tips which can help you to incorporate mindfulness into your eating rituals, as well as a simple practice to try.

Being mindful while we eat is a fantastic way to enjoy our food, connect with our bodies and tune into feelings of fullness, before we over-indulge. It can help us to make healthier food choices and truly appreciate special treats!

I really love creating these podcasts with you and if you like what you're hearing, please leave a review in iTunes, so we can keep building this wonderful community of The Mindful Kind!

STRESS AND MINDFULNESS

Welcome to the second episode of The Mindful Kind podcast! In this episode, I've dug deep to share my journey of stress and mindfulness with you.

When I was younger, stress played a huge role in my life and I found it really difficult to deal with. My relationships suffered, I felt alone and judged and even resulted in nasty tension headaches and high blood pressure.

When I learned mindfulness and started to practise it, I realised how far out of the moment I was, all the time. I was shocked to realise that I had never actually paid attention to my normal breath and how it felt!

Mindfulness has been a really amazing tool for managing stress and I hope my story can show you just one of the reasons why mindfulness has been such an important part of my life.

Towards the end of the episode, I share a beautifully simple mindfulness practice by tuning into our sense of smell.
